You do not have to rate every guest. An unanswered choice remains without a preference, and you can remove a choice. Each person decides independently, including within a couple.

Mutual preferences help the hosts plan small mystery groups. “Prefer not” excludes deliberate assignment together in a small group; paths may still cross in shared spaces.

An unselected guest may meet you in the neutral mystery game. This says nothing about intimate interest.

A selection invites

Every action still needs consent.

After the hosts plan groups, you receive your role, group, room and start time. Exclusions and withdrawn positive preferences remain relevant after a selection round closes.

If an allocation does not suit you, the hosts discuss your next round personally.
